The Inspection Process:
- You contact us and request an inspection of the home or property you are interested in.
- We schedule an inspection, usually within 72 hours, so there will be little delay in
your contract or removing any inspection contingency.
- You are encouraged to attend this inspection with the professional construction
consultant assigned. During the inspection, usually from three to four hours, you have
personal dialogue with your inspector. Ask questions. Within 24 hours, You
inspector will produce a detailed report which includes photos and e-mail or
fax you the report.
- You then have the information essential to make a knowledgeable investment.
- We remain as your consultant for as long as you live in the house. Our library of home
reference material, and our years of experience, are available to you by phone, fax or e-mail
at any time.

they remain affiliated with Claxton Walker & Associates.

When Should You call Us for a Home
Inspection?
- Some home buyers have the inspection prior to the signing of the sales contract. While
this approach risks the sale of the home to another buyer prior to the inspection, it
leaves no obligation to either party. Claxton Walker &
Associates will work closely with you in scheduling a prompt inspection as soon as
possible. Most buyers wishing to "take the house off the market" will execute
the sales agreement after inserting an appropriate conditional clause in it, making the
purchase contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory report from Claxton Walker & Associates.
Our professional Inspection Covers:
- Grading of land and drainage systems around the structure
- Exterior of the home, including roof, guttering, siding, doors , windows,
porches and decks.
- The basement with special attention to wall and floor construction,
dampness, leaks, signs of rot and insect damage.
- Electric, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems for adequacy and
condition.
- Attic with emphasis on proper insulation and ventilation.
- Entire interior and special attention to bathrooms, kitchen and built in
appliances.
We Also::
- Inspect new homes or construction underway, including additions,
remodeling and renovation.
- Inspect condominium and commercial properties for purchase or maintenance scheduling.
- Inspect buildings for owners contemplating changes or improvements prior to listing for
sale, an excellent method to assure a good result.
- Inspect and advise on difficult special problems such as water leakage, wet basement,
energy loss, etc, without the pressure for sale from a contractor.
